Scratch is a beginner-friendly, block-based programming language that introduces young learners to the power of code, an essential skill for problem-solving, creativity, and future technology literacy. In this workshop, students will learn how to create interactive stories, animations, and simple games by snapping together colorful code blocks. Through guided challenges and creative exploration, students will discover how programming turns ideas into working digital projects while building confidence, logic, and teamwork skills.

Learning Objectives
Identify core programming concepts such as sequences, events, loops, and conditionals using Scratch blocks Design and Build an original Scratch project that includes characters (sprites), backgrounds, movement, and interaction Practice problem-solving and debugging skills by testing, improving, and sharing their programs with peers

Pilot
Zach
Zachary is a game developer and educator with experience across multiple professional game engines, including Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot multiple programming languages such as C#, C++, Python and SQL. His background in coding and software development allows him to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, age-appropriate lessons. His goal is to help learners build technical skills, creativity, and confidence through the game development process.
