About the Course
Music Production requires experimentation and innovation of technology and sound. In this camp, learn the fundamentals of Music Production with Ableton Live, a mainstream software used by award-winning artists in the music industry today. Program and experiment with the various electronic music genres using audio samples, loops, and virtual instruments, while incorporating a variety of mixing effects. Examine the musical qualities and music theory principles that make up different music genres, as well as the resources, steps and frameworks that will help students master their own music production craft. Discover a unique sound and prepare, record, and export songs to be shared.
Objectives
Identify music theory concepts, fundamental principles, and genre characteristics associated with different styles of music production
Navigate and Implement the tools within the Ableton Live workspace
Create sounds using audio samples, loops, and virtual instruments
Apply mixing effects such as delay, reverb, and EQ'ing
Apply recording techniques to improve overall balance and sound quality in a song

Frank
Francisco is a creative professional and learning manager with over two decades of experience in music, film, and media production. He specializes in music composition, music production, film, film scoring, and film editing. He has developed a master class in AI music and brings an extensive background in technology, holding a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Instructional Design. As a film composer and multi-genre artist, he releases music under the names Revolution Boulevard and Flonger 2080, creating work that spans house, pop, dance, synthwave, and cinematic styles.
