About the Course
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere. It’s in search engines, voice assistants, image generation tools, and even the software we use to create games. In this camp, students get the opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn how AI-powered programs are created using Python, one of the most widely used programming languages in the world. Students begin with the fundamentals of programming and gradually apply what they learn to build their own interactive AI projects. They will experiment with making AI-powered tools such as quiz bots, simple assistants, and image-altering scripts, discovering how code can shape intelligent behavior. As they develop their programs, students use problem-solving, iteration, and critical thinking to guide their AI toward their desired result. By the end of camp, students will not only understand how to write Python code — they will have the confidence to continue building their own AI-enabled projects at home.
Objectives
Write Python programs using variables, functions, loops, and conditional logic
Build projects such as quiz bots, simple digital assistants, and image modification scripts
Identify how APIs allow programs to communicate with AI models
Use AI tools and APIs to generate responses, modify images, or interact with user input
Apply debugging strategies by identifying errors and refining code
